The 2020 International Film Society Critics Nominations Are Here!
It's been a long and tumultuous year in 2020 but we were still blessed with a wealth of good films, and due to being home more often, we also had a chance to see a lot of them as well. And no one took as much advantage of this as the members of the International Film Society Critics Association. Through early screeners, drive-ins, and digital streaming platforms, the IFSCA were never not without access to a slew of films. And thanks to that, they were able to compile an impressive list of nominees for the inaugural IFSCA AWARDS.
The nominees were announced on Twitter and Instagram on February 28th and March 1st, 2021. The film leading the way is debut director Emerald Fennell's Promising Young Woman which scored a massive 13 nominations! Following behind it is another film from a debut director, Regina King's One Night in Miami which landed 9 nominations, and both Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods and George C Wolfe's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom garnered 8 nominations each.
Winners for the IFSCA AWARDS will be announced on March 28th, 2021.
